To fix this issue go in to Coldfusion Administrator or have your host do this and uncheck this box:

Do not check “maintain connections” (which is the default) because your sessions will die in 20 minutes and show an error for invalid session.
This is still happening in Coldfusion 8 as it did in many other versions before it with a MySQL database. Hopefully Coldfusion 9 will use the correct default for this so it does have to be done for each new site.
