I watched this again twice today. After all my efforts with my new sony hidef camcorder, I realized it MUST be the lighting. So my wife is helping me make a "Soft Box" We followed your instructions plus some creative DIY:
-We bought a 36" square window screen frame and bought some cheap Muslin fabric at JoAnns (they no longer keep the nylon at the store, you have to order online and wait)
-we had an old tripod stand that was used to put pictures, posters on for seminars and we will just put the screen/soft box on that. And we got a Husky 1000 watt dual light on tripod for the light.
Key is that I can take the pieces down to small size (each one of them) and put in my car when I go to do a video tour of someone's home. If they just need light - gimme some light! - then I can just use the 1000 watt blaster (or hit half power on both lamps and do 500 (can also do 250 or 750). if that is too much I can add the soft breaker...

Dave,

What a great studio you've created -- and for so little money!

Very creative and very resourceful. That's what guerrilla video is all about.

Thanks for the shout out, and I'm looking forward to watching the next part.

All the best,

Izzy

Came out excellent - I am curious how you chose "White Screen" since the Mark Apsolon videos I watched showed a "blue" or "green" option. Can you comment?
Thanks,
